A 6.0 magnitude earthquake rocked northeast Nevada...

A 6.0 magnitude earthquake rocked northeast Nevada this morning (it’ll be on this USGS map for a week or so) – I slept through it since the epicenter was about 350 miles east of Reno. But it serves as a reminder that Nevada is one of the most seismically active states in the U.S.

Update: Also amusing is this article from the Reno Gazette-Journal two days ago.

Note also the 5.0 quake that hit Baja, CA last week.

Uh oh, you're trying to make this the Drudge Report.

But seriously, earthquakes can cause other earthquakes over long distances.
