Following the example of Siskel & Ebert, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart will be putting up their entire archives online -- from 1999 to the present. Too bad it doesn’t include clips from TDS pre-Stewart – I’m still looking for that funky Santa clip from 1997, and I’m curious to know if I’d still find it hilarious. (via bb)

Shocking that this isn't out there. Nobody obsessively captures every last detail about the Andy Williams Christmas Special?
We're talking 1997. No TiVo's, no YouTube. Someone would have to have this on VHS.
Did we watch it on vhs over and over again? Was it something you randomly taped, or was it passed around?
Man, those were the days, huh? Gathering around a big old tv to watch some random video Upstate New York Anthony brought home from college...
I think I had it on VHS, but I'm not sure.
im assuming since it was the daily show, you could have seen it air once and then prepared to record a repeat. i dont think it was funny or edgy enough to have been one of those tapes that got repeatedly dubbed and passed around. it was only funny to us for the interview bite and few seconds of dance footage.
Maybe. But I want to see it again anyway.
