Italian film director Michelangelo Antonioni dies at 94. He was a contemporary of Bergman, but stylistically very different. I’ve seen Blow Up and L’Avventura , and am curious to see Zabriskie Point.

The end of Zabriskie Point is awesome. The rest, well, like a lot of Antonioni, very beautiful and very boring. But I will always love him. When he received the lifetime oscar his speech consisted of one word. "Grazi."
My guess is that he actually said "Grazie."
You might appreciate a lot of Zabriskie Point for the desert footage. In that way it almost resembles Gus Van Sant's "Gerry."
Indeed, that's one of the reasons I want to see it. Last year, I watched the sun rise from the eponymous location, and it was beautiful.
Too bad it's not available on DVD yet, domestically.
