It’s tax day, so I’ll collapse two wonky links into one post. Kevin Drum breaks down tax payments by income and shows that our current tax structure is much closer to a flat tax than most people believe. And here’s former Secretary of Labor Bob Reich’s A Short Citizen’s Guide to Kooks, Demagogues, and Right-Wingers On Tax Day.

Thanks for posting that. The tea party thing has been bugging me all day. Who do they think is going to pay to clean all that tea out of the ocean? Not to mention the cops working crowd control and the roads they used to get there.

Ah, Robert Reich... good man. Too bad the only teabagger likely to read his column is someone like George Will. Who knows what George Will thinks about the whole tea party thing anyway-- he can be contrarian sometimes for no good reason other than to show how smart he is (or thinks he is).

In fairness, I doubt the tea party people would support no taxes. At least, not most of them.
