Now that the Writers Guild of America strike is effectively over, check out this schedule to see when your favorite TV show is coming back. Somehow I’m relieved that 24 has been postponed. (via fimoculous)

I'm glad for jbg's sake that Gossip Girl is going to return. I was worried for him.

Not only has it been postponed, but Surnow has left the show. Rumor has it that this season was terrible. I doubt that show will ever find its legs again and people are jumping ship because of it. Last season was so so bad.

I'm actually kind of enjoying not having lots of TV that I want to watch. There's more time for reading. That said, I look forward to the return of 30 Rock.

CrazyMonk,
I dind't know that you watched 24. I don't know if it could get any worse than last season. That was truly truly terrible.

BTW: Apparently Los Angeles Anthony posted from my computer as his name and email auto-populated the boxes. Hopefully I didn't post something inane as him.

Yeah, I've watched the last few seasons of 24, although I'm not sure why I stuck through last season. So so terrible.

i know i'm in the minority here, but i maintain that 24 sucked from, say, the first episode ever.

"you have to figure out the origin of this keycard! if you can figure out which computer the keycard came from, that's the traitor!"

Oh, it always had issues. Season One had some terrible plot turns. Amnesia! But it was silly and stupid and tense and fun. Last season had none of that.

I remember when CM thought LAA and I were lying about the mountain lion. R.I.P. Ryan Chappelle.

i can forgive terrible plot turns. i cannot and will not forgive terrible writing and terrible dialogue, specifically. 24 has always been replete with both items on my shit list.

and it's always bothered me that fans (and critics) considered it to be "realistic" -- yes they did. they don't now, but they DID.

i hadn't heard such oft-lauded, unrealistically crappy dialogue since sex and the city.

don't be dogging on Sex and the City. That show, unlike 24, got better as it went along. And the dialogue was often very funny.

Elissa | Thu, 02/14/2008 - 11:12am

I've been one to enjoy Sex and the City from time to time, although I would've liked it much better w/o Carrie Bradshaw and her puns.

crazymonk | Thu, 02/14/2008 - 11:34am

24 also got better as it went along. Season 2 was perhaps its strongest season.

Anyone who has ever experienced LA traffic knows that 24 isn't realistic. If I want reality I turn to Big Brother on CBS.
