Roger Ebert gives one star to a movie that he walked out of after eight minutes, and then justifies his actions in a separate blog post. He hasn’t been this cruel since his reaction to Vincent Gallo’s first version of The Brown Bunny.

he defends himself ably, but i still feel weird about the 8-minute dismissal. i mean, honestly, 15 minutes wouldn't have bothered me. but if it was abysmal enough after 8, who am i to judge? the funny part is, this makes me WANT to see the movie, a movie i'd never even heard of prior to this post.
but here's an even more bizarre thing: he brings up the question that was raised: are you against this movie because you're anti-gay? but then he doesn't DISPUTE the notion that he's anti-gay? IS ebert anti-gay, and accepting that label?
