Today is the last day you can donate to the No On 8 campaign to defeat California’s Proposition 8, which would eliminate marriage rights for same-sex couples in that state. Help end legal discrimination by sending them a Halloween treat.

I did my part -- serious discussion with my religious conservative officemate to at least convince him not to vote yes. He's still thinking about it, but right now I've got him on the religious angle, thusly: "You wouldn't want a law that punishes those who don't observe Sabbath, right? So why should there be a law that punishes (or rather, fails to reward) those who disobey God's law against homosexuality?"
