Within two days, both Roger Ebert and Richard Roeper have announced that they are cutting all ties with At the Movies with Ebert & Roeper, because Disney-ABC wants to take the show in a new direction (which probably has something to do with the fact that Ebert is still incapable of speech). The TV show has been running in various forms since 1975, most of the time with Ebert and Gene Siskel.

Bummer--- whenever I saw that the show was on I tried to watch it. Sad to see it go-- although Richard Roeper is kind of a twerp and not the best reviewer.
The wife and I watched it every week, even though we disliked Roeper. But Michael Phelps was great. I knew something was up when they stopped using "thumbs up/down" and started using "see it/rent it/skip it"
If you go to this link, ebert says that he still owns the thumbs up/down and it will be back.

Oh Dypveadj, you are hilarious.
And he's got such a plausible name, too. I love him.

There's not some Drupal alternative to akismet?
You could set up user accounts. The same ten people tend to comment all the time.
Or Captchas. But then I'd have to hate you.
